Bollywood’s Mr Perfectionist Aamir Khan’s daughter Ira Khan’s husband Nupur Shikhare became the talk of the town as he ran almost 8 kms to the wedding venue, Taj Lands End, instead of opting for a traditional baraat. Well, it seems like the couple decided to do things differently as they opted to do a registered marriage. While the bride donned a beautiful lehenga for signing their marriage certificate, instead of changing, Nupur opted to wear a black vest and white shorts for the ceremony.

As photos and videos of the same went viral on social media, netizens quickly took to the comment section of the posts to roast the Khan family and the groom. Not only did some mock his financial status, others even made connections to Aamir Khan’s movie 3 Idiots, where Raju pours green chutney on the groom’s sherwani. Netizens had a field day trolling the newlyweds for their ‘casual’ wedding. Talking about the upcoming festivities, the newlyweds are taking their family and close friends to Udaipur, Rajasthan, for mehendi and sangeet. After celebrating their union, they will return to Mumbai, where they will host a wedding reception on January 10. If reports are to be believed, they have invited all the known celebrities from the Hindi film industry. 

For those who don’t know, Nupur is a fitness coach, who has trained Bollywood celebrities like Sushmita Sen and Aamir Khan. On the other hand, Ira made her directorial debut in 2019 with the stage production ‘Euripides' Medea,’ an adaptation of Euripides' Greek tragedy Medea. Apart from this, she also launched Agastu Foundation, which aims to help and support people battling with mental health issues.
